Location: Bangalore, India

Responsibilities:

The candidate will perform Analytical testing in support of research activities. Experience is preferred in the following areas: 

• Gas Chromatography, preferably Petrochemical applications such as DHA, SimDist, PIONA etc;
• Liquid Chromatography;
• FTIR/UV/VIS;
• ICP-OES or ICP-MS;
• XRF (preferably wavelength dispersive);
• Automated Titration Equipment;
• Distillation equipment

Requirements:

• BSc or MSc in Chemistry;
• A minimum of  5 years experience in a laboratory environment preferable in an R&D or petrochemical environment;
• Fully aware of requirements for safely working in a laboratory environment and experience in implementing HSE controls for laboratory activities;
• Working under a (laboratory) quality management system, preferable ISO 9001 and/or ISO 17025;
• Preparation of Analytical standards from pure materials;
• Use of an Analytical Balance;
• Knowledge of basic scientific math skills such as calculation of concentration, molarity, gas volumes, density;
• Lab apparatus handling experience (flasks, beakers, drying ovens, vacuum ovens);
• Proper handling and storage of chemicals;
• Computing skills for MS Office products and use of Windows operating system;
• Calibration of analytical instruments;
• Quality assurance programs and lab record documentation;
• Direct experience with use and maintenance of :Gas Chromatographs, including Petrochemical ASTM applications, Liquid Chromatographs, FTIR, ICP, XRF, Titration equipment, Distillation equipment;
• The applicant should demonstrate good communication skills in English and be comfortable in team-oriented, collaborative environment;
• Authorisation to work in India is required for this position;
• A remuneration package based on the conditions in the country of employment will be offered for this position.
