Monash is seeking an outstanding academic in the School of business at its Sunway campus to provide leadership in research in the area of Islamic Finance.
The appointee will exercise a major leadership role in his or her respective discipline in areas pertaining to research and innovation, the development and implementation of teaching programs at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and staff and academic development within School of Business.
Applicants should have :
A research doctorate in relevant discipline
An international reputation for outstanding research
A proven of obtaining external grants for research and of succesful supervision of postgraduate research students
Highly developed skill of leadership, networking and management
The incumbent will be allocated a workload via the Head, School of Business, with an expectation that 50% of workload will be in Islamic Finance research.
Professors and associate professors at Sunway campus may be required to serve for a period as head of school or in another designated position of leadership.
Duration The appointment will be for a fixed term of five years. Subject to performance and other criteria, a further term may be negotiable.
Benefits The appointment will be under Malaysian benefits, term and conditions. A competitive remuneration will be negotiable for an outstanding appointee. Relocation travel and removal allowances are available.
